Our Story — More Than a Farm

A FAMILY LEGACY

More Than a Farm

Long before Spirit Hawk Farm had a name, our family’s connection to this land began in 1979, when my parents made this farm part of our family’s life.

My mother was an herbalist, and growing up here gave me a deep appreciation for herbs, growing, and making things with purpose. Those lessons stayed with me and are part of the foundation of Spirit Hawk Farm today.

The Story Behind the Hawk

My father was a Vietnam veteran who served with the Navy Seawolves and was exposed to Agent Orange. He later developed a brain tumor and passed away in 2005.

At the time of his passing, a hawk appeared at the window. It was a moment I never forgot. To me, that hawk became a powerful reminder of my father and the feeling that his spirit was still close. Years later, that memory would give Spirit Hawk Farm its name.

Carrying the Farm Forward

In January 2026, Spirit Hawk Farm was founded as a way to carry our family’s connection to this land forward while creating something of my own.

Today, we grow comfrey and other crops, practice regenerative growing methods, create handcrafted herbal and skincare products, preserve food, and continue learning and sharing traditional homestead skills.

Everything we grow and make here is connected to the same idea: respect the land, keep things purposeful, and remember where we came from.

Rooted in Family. Grown with Purpose.

Spirit Hawk Farm is more than a business to me. It is my parents’ legacy, my family’s land, the lessons I grew up with, and a new chapter I am grateful to be building here.
